Settlement
The Red Paint People were one of the first people to arrive in North America. They were the first people in Maine. These people settled along bodies of water for food and shelter. They ate fish, oysters, and other seafood. They needed to settle where there was water because they got most of their resources like food and shelter from the ocean areas.
