Zach is a great artist. He won a first place ribbon at the Litchfield Fair. He drew a picture of a fox using just a pencil and a ruler. Zach also draws warriors, bow and arrows, and swords. He likes to make swords out of old metal that he finds around our house.

Zach is a great big brother. He loves to do Toshindo, another type of karate that is from a different part of Japan. It is real fun! Zach has a black ghee that he wears with a blue belt. The pants and the top are really lose, it looks like Zach as a bathrobe on. They do fights on the mats. The younger group has to copy exactly what the leaders do on the mats. I got to go on the mat at the Do Jo. You bow to go on the mat and you have to bow to go off the mat.

Zach is in college now so I don’t see him too much anymore. He has an apartment, but he comes home to wash clothes and his Toshindo outfit. My mom doesn't mind when Zach does this. I think she misses him and likes it when he comes home.

Zach has a friend named Carl. Carl has never had a peanut butter and banana sandwich before and I grew up with peanut butter and banana sandwiches. He has no clue what a p.b.b is. Zach came home for a night and he brought Carl with him. My mom likes Carl because he is very polite so she made Carl a peanut butter and banana sandwich for lunch.

I miss Zach but I’m glad that he’s in college now. I look forward to his visit’s at home and when we get to share a P.B.& B!
