I'd Rather Be At My House

Back to Trevor's Readings

Dear Mrs. Aronson,

I’d rather be at my house right now because it’s more fun at my house. I can ride my motorcycle and play my Gameboy and play outside. But being at school is fun too. I like seeing all my friends that I haven’t seen all summer. I like math so far. It’s been more of a challenge so far this year. I think the things I’m doing in math are more advanced. Last year I got the hang of it really fast, and this year it’s taking me a little bit longer to learn, especially the division algorithm. I’m really glad I have my first star in math. But when are we going to have my test on division.

This week at school my goal was to learn my eight's facts. I think I’m doing pretty good at it. I’m ready to be tested! My next goal is going to be something about writing summaries. I don’t like writing summaries because I never know if I’m giving too much information or too little information.

So far I’ve had a pretty good school year. I’m looking forward to our field trip around Bowdoin tomorrow . It sounds fun! You said we would get to see alpacas and that sounded like fun. I don’t now what an alpaca is. Do you?

Sincerely,

Trevor
