MEA'S
The MEA’S

I love the MEA’s. I loved that we had time to test and then we had time to move around when we did Yoga. I loved that we got to have a breakfast buffet everyday!

Each morning when we came in we selected food from the buffet. My favorite was the blueberry muffins and fresh strawberries. We also had banana cream pie! We had lots of water too! It’s important to keep yourself hydrated during the test.

After each test I was tired but we did Yoga stretches to stay alert and focused. I was really good at the Flamingo stretch and the Downward Dog. The Downward Dog is where you put your hands on the floor and you try to straighten your knees to try and get a good stretch.

I really loved the math portion of the test. The math questions had word problems and multiple choice. You had room to show your work. I had to explain my thinking on the word problems which was kind of hard.

The reading portion had us reading a story and then answering questions. I had to go back into the story like Mrs. Aronson taught me to do in order to find the answer. I had to write it in paragraph form. I really liked the story about the Chewing Gum Factory because it described how the gum was made. During the test Mrs. Aronson passed out bubble gum to let us chew. She said it helped to get the stress out!

Next year in 5th grade I have to take the test again. I hope it is as much fun as it was in 4th grade! I wonder if my 5th grade teacher will have bubble gum too!
