
My team had a lot of good players but so did the other team. All the players were working hard to win the game and there was vast excitement in the air. The score was 3 to 3. I was feeling like, “Yeah, I can do this!” I got the ball and started dribbling towards the goal. I kicked as hard as I could and SCORE! I began to yell, I couldn’t believe I scored. Then my teammates yelled, “NO!” I hope I never kick the ball in the wrong goal again! |

Question: What are cells? Answer: Cells are the basic unit of life! Every living thing is made up of cells. There are millions of different kinds of cells! Plant cells and animal cells have membranes and a nucleus. Plant cells also have a cell wall which is like a skeleton that keeps their stems from flopping over. Question: Why do we have cells?
Answer: The cell is the smallest unit of life in our bodies. We have brain cells, stomach cells, and skins cells. Each of these cells has a different job to do.
Question: What do cells look like? Answer : All cells have a “skin” called the membrane that protects it from the outside world. The membrane helps water, nutrients, and wastes move in and out of the cell. The nucleus is the center of the cell. It is like the brain and has the cells DNA in it. |
