Hi my name is Shane and I’ve been suffering the divorce of my parents. I’ve been doing pretty good lately, but when they first broke up, I was throwing hissy fits. At night, I wouldn’t want to go to bed at my mom’s and I’d kick and scream and my mom would leave me in my room with the door shut. That didn’t feel so good.

Lately, I am still struggling, but it’s getting better. I haven’t had a hissy fit in a while. I am spending time with both Mom and Dad. Every Friday night with Dad, I go rollerskating. My dad skates, too; he’s horrible! He gets out on the rink and he tries to walk with the skates on and he falls! I feel relaxed more than before. I try to think about good things to keep my mind busy. I like riding my 4-wheeler and riding my bike. I especially like planning for a dirt bike. I think my d ad might help me get one. At school, I think about recess and going snowshoeing with Mrs Aronson!
