Iceland

Iceland

I moved to Iceland because my dad is in the military. Iceland has a lot of volcanoes. They also have a Blue Lagoon. It’s very blue and very hot. They have a shop with all the face cream, shampoo, and conditioner. The water in the Blue Lagoon goes up to 104 degrees f [40 degrees c.] It soothes your tired muscles and there is a waterfall that massages your back. The waterfall is very freezing. After you’re done you can get back underneath the warm water.

The water cave is amazing. They have seats that you can sit in. My oldest sister was silly because she would climb behind the seats where there were a lot of rocks. The water doesn't smell pretty. It smells like the glaciers. The glaciers smell like rotten eggs.
The spa area has a big bucket filled with this white cream. You’re suppose to let it dry on your face and wash it off. Then your face will be smooth.

I lived in an apartment on the base. We had an annoying dog named Ginger. Ginger loved to bite me a lot. There was a base bus. Once my sister and I went on the base bus. We always sat in the back. That wasn’t a good idea because I got sick. I moved from Iceland. My dad wanted to be in Maine for his last year in the Military.

Maine's Geography

The Sky

The Sky

The stars are the sunflowers
shining in the light
The moon and the trees
govern in the night
The sky is a large blanket
covering over us
When you go to sleep
the only thing you hear
is the whispering in your ear
