Molecules

Molecules, O Molecules

Molecules, O molecules.
We love you so.
We never ever want you to go.
We love you as much
As the light on the snow.
We want to see you
More than you know.

Atoms

Multiply, Multiply Little Atom

Multiply, multiply little atom.
How I wonder how you look.
Flying around the world all the time.
Like a speck in my right eye.
Multiply, multiply little atom.
How I wonder how you look.

What is an Atom?

What is an Atom?
Atoms are the basic building blocks of all things. There are ninety-two different kinds of natural atoms. A few additional atoms have been made by scientists in laboratories. Examples of a natural atom include: oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, mercury, gold and silver. Atoms are found in all things. A diamond contains carbon atoms.

What is a Molecule?
Molecules are made of a few atoms that are very small. Molecules are so small you cannot see some with the most powerful microscope. One drop of water contains two million quadrillion (2,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) molecules. If you took two million quadrillion pennies and stacked one on top of the other, you would have three hundred thousand (300,000) stacks of pennies. Each stack would reach from the Sun to Pluto.

What does H2O mean?
H2O is the formula for water, H stands for Hydrogen and O stands for Oxygen.
