My Interview with
the Lunch Ladies

Have you ever wondered what the lunch ladies think about the school lunches? Well I did and I learned quite a bit. Here are questions that I asked the lunch ladies and their replies.

question 1: Do you like the food you serve?

answer: yes

question 2: What would you change about the school lunches?

answer: If we went back to tickets and could serve what we wanted.

question 3: Is there anything you can change?

answer: No.

question 4. What is your favorite lunch to serve?

answer: Pizza.

question 5. Why do you like that certain lunch?

answer: It is easy to make.

question 6. Would this be your first choice for a job?

answer: Yes

question 7. Why or why not?

answer: It is fun to see the kids.

question 8. Which lunch group behaves the best, kindergarten, first through third, or fourth and fifth?

answer: We don't know, they all have their days.

question 9. How do they behave?

answer: ---------

question 10. Do you need a license to cook?

answer: No

question 11. What do you think is the most important rule in the cafeteria and how could the fifth grade family help you get  students to follow it?

answer: Don't throw food and when the teacher says be quiet do it. Follow the rules and set examples for the younger kids.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So there are my questions and answers. But my questioning is not over yet. The lunch ladies asked me to question kids for their benefit too. They asked me to go around to each class and ask a few kids what they liked best for lunch and what they might want that they don't serve.

The most common lunch that kids enjoyed was definitely pizza and pazzo bread. 19 out of 33 kids had either one of those as their favorite lunch. A lot of people liked the fruit in the bar as their side dish. A few people wanted to add lobster with butter to the school lunches. Some wanted bologna sandwiches. Someone even wanted burritos and plums. Lots of people wanted nothing added on to the school lunches but just as many wanted something new added. There were lots of different opinions of the lunch menu and what they wanted to eat. Maybe next month something new will be on the lunch menu.
