The Sifaka monkeys are part of the Lemer family. The Sifaka's cry sounds like Shif-auk. They have beautiful colors of brown, gold, grey and white. The Sifakas live in the beautiful Madagascar forests, on an island near Africa. They spend a lot of time in trees, jumping with their hind legs. They jump the distance of 30 feet. Sifakas are vegetarians. They eat leaves, grass, flowers, buds and tree bark. Their head and body is 18 inches long, and their tail is 18 inches, too.

They weigh 7 to 13 lbs. The Sifak monkeys are endangered.
