HIS PTO

            Welcome to the Harpswell Islands School (HIS) PTO.  As a parent or guardian of a student at HIS, you are automatically a member.  We hope that you will enjoy being a part of this wonderful organization.

        The PTO’s main goal is to establish a close relationship between home and school by offering opportunities for all parents to become involved.

        Parental involvement can be as simple as helping your child with their homework or baking a pie for our annual pie social, to volunteering in the classrooms.  Any help you can offer is deeply appreciated and makes a huge difference to our school and to your child.

Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people and gives you a more direct voice in what happens at our school.  By working together, we can make a difference.  Just click on the link below to look at the list of our previously funded projects and you will see that our PTO provides services that greatly enhance your child’s education.  In these times of tight school budgets, we work hard to ensure that our children get every opportunity for a creative, quality education.

      We realize that time has become the most valuable commodity to families these days, so if you are not be able to come to a meeting every month, we will do our best to keep you informed about our activities.  We look forward to working with you.
