Mrs. Bailey is our Art Teacher. She is at Harpswell Islands School every day.
from the Art Room
The Art Room is off to a great start
this year. For the next few weeks, classes will be focused or learning &
reviewing what is expected in Art Class, how we use materials, clean up &
generally getting used to changes in the Art Room.
You will be getting a
letter that will cover :
~ what is expected in Art
Class
~ class rules
~ class procedures
There will be additions to the
individual classroom newsletters as we go through the year to help you
understand what your child is doing in Art Class at her/his particular grade
level. It will also give you a heads up as to when your child has Art class as
the projects get VERY “hands on” so you probably will want to have your child
in “Art proof” rather than “dress
up” clothes. We try to keep things as clean as possible by using aprons, but
paint does spill & we don’t want anyone to go home anxious or unhappy about
paint on a favorite outfit.
The Knitting Club will be gradually
starting up over the next few weeks. We are going to be meeting in the Art Room
from 12 to 12:50 for lunch & knitting on Thursdays & Fridays. More
information to come.
