Mount Ararat Middle School

LIBRARY

The Mt. Ararat Middle School Library offers to students a relaxed environment in which to browse a large selection of materials, read, study, and do research. With a collection of approximately 12,000 books, there is something for everyone. The library has eight computers for student use with access to the Internet and several web-based resources for research. (Library Research Database Information)

Three of the computers also contain our computerized card catalog. Because all of our research databases are online, they may be accessed from any computer in the building and some may be accessed from home. Students also regularly come to the library with their classes to complete research for projects. They receive research skills lessons as well as individual and small group help from the librarian. The library is open after school for students who need computer access or research time for classroom assignments or special projects. Services offered by the library include: *Reader Advisory, *Research Skills, *Research Help, *Book Fairs, *Booktalks *Locating resources through interlibrary loan.
