June 28, 2007

 

The Board of Directors of Maine School Administrative District No. 75 held a special meeting at Mt. Ararat High School on June 28, 2007.

 

The following Directors were present:  Kim Totten, Vice-Chair; Maryane Burns; Dorothy “Dee” Carrier; Dorothy Gardner;  David A. Johnson; Joanne Rogers; Rebekah Stimpson; Gwen Thomas; and Roland Tufts.

 

Not present were Sheila Havey, Robert W. Hill, Jane Meisenbach, Andrea Najarian, and Donald A. Russell.

 

1.         Call to order

 

The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Totten at 6:30 p.m.

 

2.         Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag

 

Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

 

3.         To consider action relative to additions or adjustments to the agenda and to ask for comments form the audience

 

There were no agenda adjustments or comments from the audience.

 

4.        To hear a grievance regarding a personnel matter requested by the Merrymeeting Employees Association pursuant to 1 MRSA 405 (6) (A)

 

At 6:32 p.m. it was moved by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mrs. Carrier, and VOTED (unanimously) to enter executive session to hear a grievance regarding a personnel matter requested by the Merrymeeting Employees Association pursuant to 1 MRSA 405 (6) (A).

 

            The executive session ended at 8:35 p.m.

 

It was moved by Mrs. Rogers, seconded by Mrs. Carried, and VOTED (559 yeas, 0 nays, 77 abstentions, and 364 absent) to deny the grievance from the Merrymeeting Employees Association.

 

Voting yea were Ms. Burns, Mrs. Carrier, Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Rogers, Ms. Stimpson, Ms. Thomas, Mrs. Totten, and Mr. Tufts.

 

There were no nay votes.

 

Abstaining from voting was Mrs. Gardner.

 

Absent were Ms. Havey, Mr. Hill, Mrs. Meisenbach, Ms. Najarian, and Mr. Russell.

 

5.         ADJOURNMENT:

 

The meeting was adj0urned at 8:37 p.m.
