MSAD 75 Wellness Program

pineapple The time is ripe to kick off a wellness program!

The 2010 Winter Walking Challenge is On!

The MSAD75 Employee Wellness Committee is pleased to announce the 2010 Winter Walking Challenge!  This TEAM COMPETITION will run from February 1st until April 2nd.

Each site in the District will function as a team.  If you wish to be part of the fun, keep track of your exercise for the duration of the competition.  Walkers and runners can simply keep track of your mileage.  For those who participate in other activities (swimming, cycling, strength training, group aerobics, etc.), a conversion chart is provided on the Wellness Bulletin Board at your location – use the chart to determine the equivalent number of “miles” you’ve completed. Or download a copy of the conversion chart right here.

Each site has a Team Leader (see list below).  Please submit your total miles walked (or equivalent) to your Team Leader by April 5th in order to have your mileage count toward your team total.

The winning team will be the location with the highest number of average miles walked per participant, so that the larger schools do not have an unfair advantage.  All those on the winning team who actively participated in the competition will be entered into a drawing to win a free 30-minute massage complements of Mid-Coast Wellness Alliance, or a free gym membership complements of World Gym.  These are wonderful prizes, so be sure to get in on the action so you can have a chance to win!
