As you respond, you might want to think about some of the following:
Does it play like a movie behind your eyes?
Can you see it, hear it, smell it?
Are there enough thoughts and feelings to take you into the character's heart and mind?
Is there a strong narrative hook?
Is there a building of tension through the use of obstacles in the path of the main character?
Did it end slowly and carefully?
Did the ending satisfy the reader?
