English As A Second Language

The English as a Second Language program in MSAD#75 includes students in Kindergarten through grade 12 from more than a dozen different countries and a variety of language and cultural backgrounds.

English Language Learners (ELL's) across the District are serviced by 2 full time teachers: Peggy Callahan, Mt.Ararat High School, callahanp@link75.org and Jill Snyder, all elementary schools, snyderj@link75.org. Both teachers service students at Mt.Ararat Middle School.

The goal of the program is to increase our students' English language proficiency in the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing thereby providing them the opportunity to access instruction with their English speaking peers.
