Text Box: Title I is a federally funded program aimed at supporting K-5 children who are achieving below grade level in reading, writing and math.  Title I teachers work in partnership with classroom teachers and parents to provide extra help in important skill areas.  These services do not replace classroom learning, rather they supplement and provide the additional practice that children need to become better readers, writers and mathematicians.

Title I Teachers

Respect others
Be responsible for being ready for school
Be at school daily and on time
Use the library
Read at home and at school daily
Ask your teachers for help 
Talk with your parents about what you are learning
Do your homework everyday 
Get enough sleep every night

Parents to help your child be successful at school:
Monitor your child’s attendance and learning
Read with your child daily
Help your child with reading strategies and skills
Talk with your child about school and other topics
Set a regular time and place for homework
Participate in school meetings/ conferences
Encourage your child to use the library
Supervise and limit your child’s television viewing
Volunteer for school related activities
